What Now?

I’m gonna go out there and say it, tonight the Celtics are going to win the NBA Finals.

Even if they don’t, it’s either them or the Lakers on Thursday. You know what that means? NOTHING. As sports fans we have nothing left. And don’t say baseball, i don’t want to hear the word baseball until at least September. Hockey is over, basketball’s about to be over. Football players are still hitting people with their cars, and getting beat up in Vegas, so that means training camp is still a long month away. What are we supposed to do now? That European soccer tournament is going on, but I can only watch that for like 4 minutes. We have to wait for college football till end of August. The flippin olympics don’t start till 8-8-08, which is a pretty cool date but come on, why not start them at the end of June and have nothing else going on against them?

I don’t know about you but i’m started to feel like this kid. I have no clue what to do now. Hopefully something comes up, because it’s way too early to start worrying myself to death about my fantasy football draft picks. Looks like it’s going to be a big bowl of Scrubs reruns for this guy. And for those of you that have not seen LOST, go do yourself a favor during this “downtime” and get the DVD’s. Buy them, rent them, steal them, whatever… just get the 4 seasons in by next February. You all can thank me later.

I agree, not a whole lot to look forward to in sports right now, except maybe the All-Star Game at Yankee Stadium and Tiger Woods dominating the British Open. I’m back on a Sopranos kick this summer, might attempt to get into LOST.
