Lil' Wayne is a joke.....The only counter argument I have heard from the Weezy pole riders is "what are you talking about manley, weezy is fire, weezy is the best, this albume is the best".....Okaayyyy Why? I still have yet to hear specific examples to help sway me to think Wayne is anything different than Soulja Boy, Hurricane Chris, and that type of bullshit ringtone rap about nothing. Ive sat down and listened to Lil' Wayne and all he talks about is how he is the man because he is rich, has bitches, how tough he is and how high he is. Wow Ive never heard a rapper rap about how rich, high and how many bitches they have before. Weezy must be something special in the rap game this album must be a classic because Ive never heard a hook from T-Pain before or a songs about getting money drinking codeine and slanging bitches. Kinda strange how close Lollipop is to 50's candy shop and look where 50's career is. Even if this album is good, where do you go from here. You already said your the best you are the highest toughest and the biggest pimp well then that must be it right.

Come on James, a favorable review from the Rolling Stone? I wipe my ass with any rap review written by the Rolling Stone. They just rated Tha Carter III higher than any Jay-Z album. Higher than any Nas album. Higher than any Roots album. Higher than any Common album. Higher than any Talib Kweli album. Higher than any Outkast album. Higher than any Eminem album. Higher than any Snoop Dogg album. Higher than Dr. Dre's Chronic. They even put it in the same class as Kanye's Grammy-Winning Graduation. See where I'm going with this yet?

My question is this: Do YOU actually listen to what he is saying? The dude is full of repetition, and the more he repeatedly proclaims himself as the "Best Rapper Alive," the more you actually believe it. He is inconsistent and lacks a sense of direction. Bottom line.

James you are a douchebag. James you are a douchebag. James you are a douchebag. James you are a douchebag. James you are a douchebag. (Man, repetition is actually fun...maybe that's why people love Wayne's shit so much.)

-I listen to Lollipop and all I hear is the same bullshit about getting head and bangin bitches over and over.
-I listen to Comfortable and all I hear is him talk about bitches.
-I listen to Mrs. Officer and all I hear is him obsess about bangin a cop while Bobby Valentino tries to sound like a siren on the hook. Are you kidding?
-I listen to Got Money and all I hear is him brag about being loaded. Young Money Millionaire!!! Fuckin groundbreaking stuff.
-I listen to A Milli and hear him go all over the map about pointless shit.
-I listen to his 5+ minute rant at the end of Misunderstood/Dontgetit and all I can think of is this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=wKjxFJfcrcA

Tie My Hands is probably one of his best songs when it comes to substance. A little weird hearing him talk about something that's actually meaningful. Either way, remove the above songs and you still have some average tracks with a couple bangers.

Is this album complete trash? No, but it is hardly a classic like everyone is claiming it to be. Classics aren't albums that you have to keep listening to until they grow on you, like most of Wayne's shit.

So James, do me a favor and "actually listen" to Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor and The Cool. If you are blown away by Wayne's substance and lyricism then I guarantee you won't be able to wrap your mind around Lupe's shit. Get back to me on that.

Oh, and one more thing: Eat a Dick.

by the way, the Rolling Stone gave him a favorable review. I suppose they have a low IQ as well and no ability to gauge the quality of music. Please go fuck yourself.

If you don't think Wayne's fire, I don't think you are actually listening to his records. Instead of accusing others of idol worship, why don't you sit down and actually listen to what he is saying.

Typical ignorance especially hating on Common one of the most respected MC's...This guy is going to be walking funny for years with all his Weezy Dick Riding. The only reason why people are in love with Lil' Wayne is because things like MTV says to love him and in the past 10 years look how MTV has evolved from music television to corny ass shit like flavor of love and real world bullshit. Scootttyyy Scootttyy you are on the same level as Weezy in intelligence thats why his playground rhymes and incoherence entertains you. So eat him up while he lasts cause it won't be long.

The albums only been out like 2 days.... It usually takes me more than a day to feel out an album. The problem with his album is that it is probably one of the most hyped albums to come around in a long time cuz it took so long to come out. So far I wont call it a bad album, and its far from garbage. Some time he does go into "WeezyWorld" with his lyrics. But the talent is definately there. "Let the Beat Build" and "Mr.Carter" quickly stand out to me as some of the better tracks on the album. Ill let you know how I feel about the whole things in another week.

Listening to the songs from it, I can't say that I'm that impressed with it. Now I'm a big Weezy fan, but I have to side with Manley, and say that I'm not really feeling this album.

Call me a naysayer all you want, but lets be serious, Wayne will sell a lot of copies on pure hype alone. This day in age, you really can't gauge quality music by album sales. If I remember right, Soulja Boy went platinum and he is absolute trash. Lupe has barely gone gold, and people like Common and Talib barely sell shit.

From top to bottom, I just don't see how this album is fire. My problem is this: he is the most hyped in the game, he has support from big time artists, he has top flight production, all the press and buzz in the industry...and he still didn't produce a 5-star album. La La, Phone Home, Playin With Fire, even Got Money and Nothin On Me don't feel like they should belong on an album of "fire."

I'm willing to bet that Game's L.A.X. and Nas' upcoming album will both be better than Tha Carter III. You can even throw Wale's and Saigon's albums in the mix.
