The Buffalo Bills Select CB Reggie Corner

A corner named Corner…I guess that means he should be good, right? It was a little surprising to see the Bills use the first of their two 4th-round draft picks to select a CB, especially after selecting Leodis McKelvin with the 11th pick. He had a solid senior season with 7 INT’s, totaling 15 in his career.

Overall Outlook:

  • Above average speed and great quickness (4.4 at the Combine).
  • Is a small corner at 5′9″, but plays bigger than his size in coverage.
  • Great vision and recognition skills.
  • Struggles to press and redirect receivers at the line.
  • A nickel corner at best, one who will be a good role defender that can match up well with quick receivers.

The Bills Front Office continued to reiterate the idea that, “There’s nothing negative about him,” so I guess I’ll take their word for it and trust that they know what they’re doing.
