Drafted off the plane

April 9, 2008

(AP) PALM HARBOR, Fla. —Candace Parker had a whirlwind 24 hours.

Parker was selected No. 1 by the Los Angeles Sparks in the WNBA draft on Wednesday, a day after capping her college career by leading Tennessee to a second straight NCAA title.

Talk about a day… Now that she is playing with the Sparks, I can’t wait for the WNBA season to begin! Where can I get tickets!

(That’s a huge, bitch.)

Good-bye Donte’ Greene

April 9, 2008

Syracuse University’s fourth best player just declared for the NBA Draft. Good thing that Johnny Flynn, Paul Harris, and Eric Devendorf are not going because Donte’s pick may drop. Sure, he is a great player but he makes to many mistakes, he is to immature, and he takes ill advised shots.

How good would they be next year if he came back??? We will never know….Good Luck Donte’ (Hopefully you end up with the Celts so I can like you again)

But when he dunks the ball he sure puts his best foot forward.

Size without speed

April 9, 2008

(NFL News)–Oklahoma (April 9)

Twenty-five NFL teams sent representatives to Norman, Okla., to see four key players in a follow-up to last month’s school pro day. Prospects worked out indoors on Field Turf. And as an added quirk to the event, the person throwing passes in the position drills was a former quarterback from arch-rival Nebraska — Heisman Trophy winner Eric Crouch.

» WR Malcolm Kelly (6-3 7/8, 227): Ran the 40 in 4.75 and 4.68, had a 32-inch vertical jump, 9-foot, 9-inch long jump, 4.24 short shuttle, 7.00 cone drill, and ran position drills. Kelly looked very good.

So let me get this straight Malcolm Kelly, whom all Bills fan think will be the savior on offense next year, ran a 4.68, 40-time? Now, from what I understand about speed, for a football player, especially a reciever, that isn’t too fast. But I know you may be saying, well he has the height, I don’t care what you say, I’ll take speed over that anyday, or better yet speed and height together, enter Devin Thomas.  (Plus he played most of last year…)

Making Breakfast

April 9, 2008

This morning I was looking for something light, maybe a pastry heart, with a nice cup of coffee, and some delicious sliced honeydew. There is only one lady that I would let slice my honeydew, and pour my coffee every morning …. Hayden Panettiere.

PS I take my coffee with a touch of cream.
